Life isn't Worth Living, is it?

'It's no use' she said, with all her 22 years experience, 'Life just isn't worth living'.
'I've no idea where I am or where I'm going', said the middle-aged man.
'What's life for?' said the widow. 'I've nothing left to live for.'
Talking to everyday people with those very problems, Jesus of Nazareth said:
'I have come that you might have life and have it
more abundantly'.
What on earth did He mean? Live longer? Not at all. You can live miserably to be a hundred - and anyway Jesus died at 33. Did Jesus mean that the real quality of. living was missing; that folks were only existing, working, earning, spending, eating, sleeping, loving, hating? Did He mean that that wasn't real living? You've got it, it wasn't then and it isn't now - not real life.
Christ's word for real life is 'eternal Life'. It has an extra dimension that even death can't stop ' Now this gift that doesn't end at the grave, is a gift from God. You get it by simply a ccepting it as a gift, by trusting Christ with yourself as you are' It's possible because His own perfect life was offered as a gift which releases and sets free that life that He has to spare. No one else has this to give - read it in His own words - John I 0.
Now read: Philippians 1. 21 and 3. 7 - 1 1.
