Not necessarily everyone's favourite software company, Microsoft has produced a great piece of free software in Windows Media Player (WMP).

Like other media players, it is freely downloadable by clicking the icon below. It is available for Macintosh and Windows computers.

Like RealPlayer and iTunes, WMP is more than just a media player. In fact these three software packages are competing to become your default media player for all of your music, so they also offer great tools to help you record, playback and manage your audio files. They can even record music CDs if your computer has a CD-R drive.

However, for the audio on this website, we were only interested to see whether or not WMP would stream our MP3 files - and it did!

If you have any reluctance in installing RealPlayer, then certainly install WMP. It can probably do more than you'll ever need, but it suits our purposes well.
